Crinkled bags aren't all that common but here's a nice one from Donna Karan. The Crosstown Studded Hobo is made of crinkled black nylon (gotta love that 'needs to be ironed' look) with smooth black calf leather trim and little silvertone stud details all around the edges. The front has a large fold-over flap and the back side has a zippered exterior pouch with trim and stud detailing. Single leather shoulder strap and 3 interior pockets. The brand is clearly looking for publicity. Owner Jeff Borysiewicz has said that the company doesn't condone anyone's alleged extramarital affairs but welcomes Woods as a potential endorser. Woods has visited Corona in the company of Charles Parker before. Some of Woods' core endorsers including Accenture, Gillette and Gatorade have said they will review their association with the golfer and he won't be playing golf for a little while so perhaps he should take the deal for some running around money.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP-560-4 - Click above for high-res image gallery

According to the Lamborghini lovers at the Teamspeed Forums, there's a new, even higher-performance version of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 on the way that will be unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. No surprise, really, as the Gallardo's successor isn't expected until 2012 or so and the Italian supercar manufacturer is always working on improving the breed.

We're told to expect a 10-horsepower bump up to 570 ponies from the car's V10 powerplant that will be delivered to all four wheels (making this the LP570-4, naturally). A major diet in the form of a stripped-down interior (ala the Superlegerra Gallardo) and an updated aerodynamics package that includes a new front spoiler and a large carbon fiber rear wing along with a reworked front suspension arrangement and carbon ceramic brakes may also be in the works.

Looking past the possible LP570-4, there may be an LP590-2 swan song for the current Gallardo range in the offing for 2011. Like the recently-released Gallardo L550-2 Valentino Balboni, that car would eschew Lamborghini's traditional all-wheel drive system by sending all 590 horsepower to the rear wheels.

If these rumors prove accurate, dealers and VIP customers (sadly, that doesn't include us) will get a sneak peek of the Gallardo LP-570-4 in January before the official debut in Geneva with sales pegged for May of 2010. Thanks for the tip, DJ!

If I could live in any building in New York City it might just be the Osborne. We've seen a couple of different gorgeous apartments in this building and here is another one. The Osborne is a rusticated Romanesque Revival and Italian Renaissance Palazzo-style building built in 1883. It has a historic Byzantine lobby with contributions by sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens, muralist John LaFarge, and Tiffany Studios. The listing states that the original plans for the building included "a porte-cochére, a billiard room, a florist, a resident doctor and druggist and on the roof, a lawn for playing croquet."

This apartment is a two-bedroom co-op that includes a double living room with the original wood and plaster and floor-to-ceiling bookshelves lining the walls, The room is anchored by two wood burning fireplaces at either end of the room and the front wall has tall dramatic windows allowing sun to pour in through regular glass and upper stained glass panes, recreated and Landmark approved. From the living room, an oversized pocket door leads to the library, with another wood burning fireplace. The Poggenpohl chef's kitchen has a Wolfe stove, SubZero fridge, large center island, granite countertops and washer and dryer. The master bedroom includes a walk-in closet leading to a full bath and another bedroom mirrors the master bedroom with a walk in closet and full bath. This apartment is listed at $6.9 million.

High-end independent luxury watch maker Thomas Prescher presents a new creation from his Tempus Vivendi collection. Right out of his workshop in Switzerland comes the Qatar watch, a timepiece dedicated to the nation of Qatar.

The origins of the Tempusvivendi collection, with their double retrograde hands stems back to the 19th century - seen on only the most luxurious and decorated for clocks and pocket watches. The concept allows for a striking and artistic way of telling the time and providing space for the watch makers to apply imagery to the watch face.

The all gold 39mm wide watch case features an specially made automatic mechanical movement that has been ornately decorated all over. Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, the automatic rotor is engraved and highly personalized, while the movement itself features hours of traditional style engraving work. Each gold surface is hand engraved as well. The watch is attached to a hand-sewn alligator strap.

Time is read by observing the position of the tips of the two Arab style swords as they move along the indicators. Each sword is individually connected to the movement at the bottom and overall each over and they move down. If you prefer to look at the time as an artistic statement, you can press a pusher located in the crown and the hands will jump back to their "natural" position (as seen in the image). Pressing the pusher again will give you a view of the time once more. The image on the dial is hand engraved on gold and shows an Arabic coat of arms with a sail ship in water, and an island with two palm trees. The timepiece is of the highest craftsmanship quality for dedicated watch lovers of the Qatar region who will no doubt be enchanted by the timepiece as an instrument, and as an honor to their country.

This is actually the second set of limited edition Cutthroat watches from Montana based American watch maker Bozeman Watch Company. The brand is known for classic looking luxury watches with an outdoorsy American twist, using Swiss movements. There are really very few smaller Americans brand such as this. As an homage to fishing and the famous Cutthroat trout, this newest edition of 100 pieces is broken up into at least 5 color choices. Four dials are in silver with either red, orange, blue, or green trim (as the color of the lume on the hour markers and tips of the hands), and one version with a black colored face. These are distinguished by regional or thematic names such as the "Yellowstone" or "Whitefish" editions.

In a classically handsome manner the watches are nice in a subtle way. Understated and functional. Inside the watches are Swiss automatic GMT movements (likely an ETA 2893-2) that have been COSC Chronometer certified. The arrow shaped (literally like an arrow used with a bow) GMT hand is red tipped on all models, and follow a neatly marked GMT hour scale on the chapter ring. The dial is very easy to read with all markers present. One of the things I really like about the watches is that all the hands are perfect in length. This is a sign of a good watch designer. The counterweight on the seconds hand is shaped like the brand logo. The watches are each in a 42mm wide, highly polished steel case with a sapphire crystal and 100 meters of water resistance. They are matched to simple leather straps with contrast stitching. Price for these hand-tooled watches is between $4,200 - $4,700 (each model is in a limited edition of 15 or 40 pieces - together totaling 100). Ivana Trump was reportedly dragged off a flight headed to New York City on Saturday afternoon at Palm Beach International Airport. The ex-wife of Donald Trump was removed from the plane because she screamed and cursed at children.

According to a piece in the Sun-Sentinel, she was in first class and was angry because children were "running up and down the aisle and screaming." The article goes on to say that flight attendants tried to calm her down by offering her another seat and headphones but she only became more upset. The plane was just about to leave the gate, but like an angry dad in a car, the pilot decided to turn the plane around. She was asked to voluntarily leave the plane, refused, and was physically removed by deputies. Trump hasn't been charged in the incident and her driver picked her up at the airport soon after.

According to Askel Paris the tieless trend in menswear has led to a nation of less-than-snappy dressers with shirt collars sinking below their jackets. Their answer, a collar that won't sit down even if you beg.

Designer Yazid Aksas has created a slim fit, button down made of pure cotton and featuring a stiff collar, a boldly colored interior and square buttons. The shirts are available for less than $100 and the website playfully hints that the shirts will help you "score hot chicks."

The MS-1 Mentor model comes equipped with front panel flight and engine instruments, ELT, nav lights and wing tip strobes, and has a base price of $124,500. The MS-1 Elite is equipped with the MySky Flight Information Center in both front and back panel, back up analog airspeed and altimeter indicators, magnetic compass, Garmin VHF com with intercom, and GTX-327 encoding transponder. The base price of the MS-1 Elite is $132,500. Upgrade options are available, including Porsche-style leather-and-rosewood interior, AmSafe seat belts with airbags, night flight package, and flight automation options. MS-1 customers may secure their positions on a first come, first served basis with a refundable deposit of $3000.

Finally! A classy looking skeletonized tourbillon watch in platinum with what looks to be a... blue horseshoe on the dial. Is that right? Horseshoe? Sure why not. A little good imagery always does watches good. The whimsy doesn't stop there as the matching blued hands squiggle ("serpentine") in delight, pointing to the time. The manually wound Calibre DR780 Tourbillon Squellete (skeleton) movement is chamfered and hand filed and polished until it gleams of worthiness (this includes hand polishing of the screws as well!). The movement is quite nice actually, with an 82 part tourbillon carriage spinning with lots of white area around it to ease your view, as well as 64 hours or power reserve.

Daniel Roth further suggests oddness in the watch as it is an inherent paradox (if you see it their way). While the case itself is make out of platinum (a very heavy metal) the dial is highly skeletonized suggesting lightness. Thus the watch mixes the concepts of high weighted stateliness with a feeling of feather-light delicacy. Are they harmonious or do they oppose one another? The light tone of the platinum and blued steel on the dial meld well with the midnight blue hand-sewn alligator strap. The strap clasp is in white gold as opposed to platinum (likely to prevent scratches on this "high contact area" of the watch). This Daniel Roth Tourbillon Lumière Platinum horological acquired taste will likely be available soon in limited numbers.

Eight prime ski-in/ski-out condos in Park City, Utah will hit the auction block in January. The Silver Strike Lodge at Empire Pass will be auctioned off January 17. According to ParkRecord.com, developer Matt Mullin of Ironwood Resort Development says the auction is marketing strategy designed to help bring a market correction to the downward trend in ski real estate. There are 34 units in the ski-in/ski-out condo hotel and although almost half the units sold when the project was launched in 2006, there are still 19 unsold units. Mullin insists that it the sale is not a foreclosure or liquidation sale and is not an attempt to dump the property.

The units qualify for Talisker Club Membership. Accelerated Marketing Partners, is conducting the auction and has created a designated website for the event. Minimum bids are set very high. A two-bedroom unit measuring 1,689 square feet has a minimum bid of $1.15 million and prices go up from there.

Trump recently picked up the Pine Hill Golf Club in South New Jersey. The semipublic course designed by Tom Fazio will be renamed the Trump National Golf Club-- Philadelphia. Trump is planning to turn the 10-year-old course into an ultra exclusive, high-priced course like the rest in his portfolio.

Trump also picked up the Branton Woods Golf Club in New York. Both clubs were bought from Empire Golf Management and were reportedly two of Empire's least profitable courses. The golf course industry has been lagging in recent months and we've seen some courses face foreclosure. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Empire still owns its four most profitable golf courses. The plan is to make Pine HIll one of the more affordable of the clubs owned and managed by Trump. Both courses will receive multimillion dollar Trump makeovers. Other Trump courses include the hotly contested Scotland project in Aberdeenshire.

When it comes to shoes, we at Luxist, and I think it's safe to say as well as every other woman in the world, love everything that Christian Louboutin creates, until perhaps today. It's been a tough year for small private plane companies with layoffs and plant closures but not everyone is floundering. Piaggio Aero, makers of the P. 180 Avanti II have announced the addition of three new service centers in Ft. Lauderdale, Toronto and Montreal. The announcement came one month after Piaggio's expansion with West Star Aviation at its East Alton, Ill. facility. Since 2008, the Piaggio Aero brand has doubled its North American service network. The success of the P. 180 Avanti II is a combination of its sleek Italian styling (Piaggio Aero Industries' Chairman, Piero Ferrari, son of Enzo Ferrari, is also vice Chairman of Ferrari S.p.A.) and its fuel efficiency. The plane is the fastest turboprop aircraft combine the speed of a light cabin jet with the cabin of a mid-size craft that can hold nine people. It can hit cruising speeds of more than 402 ktas. but requires a third less fuel than most business jets. The new service centers are now open with more planned for 2010.

Today's estate is one of the prettiest Wyoming properties we've ever had on this site. Antelope Run Ranch is an 8,000 acre ranch located at the foot of the Bridger-Teton National Forest just 30 minutes from Pinedale, Wyoming and a 1.5 hour drive from Jackson Hole. The house also includes a wet/dry sauna, a wine cellar, cedar lined closets, 10,000 gallon water storage and three 450 gallon water heaters with instant hot water throughout the house. The home is being sold with the furniture including a revolving king size bed in the master bedroom, a 20' long dining table and chairs and six complete bedroom suites. The stable is constructed of the identical materials used to build the Hill House and has four stalls, rubber tiled floor, grooming area and an adjoining fenced corral.

Also on the property there is a ranch manager's log home, a guest house, a heated horse arena, a nine-bay log garage and a fully equipped and certified 7,850 foot airstrip located on a separate parcel eight miles from the ranch. This property is listed at $29.5 million.

A sexy Speedmaster is here. This is the first retro styled watch I've ever really drooled over. I really love the combo of design elements here from the new style Speedmaster case, to the railroad style numerals and of course the Olympic game touches. It all started back in 2008 with Omega's limited edition Speedmaster Summer Olympics watch in gold with a new type of movement modification giving a five Olympics rings style chronograph and calendar. When I discussed it back then I loved it, and I still do. Then recently I saw that they were to released an De Ville model with the same movement. Finally someone at Omega realized the style was a hit.

Now I discover that at least two more Speedmaster and Seamaster based models are coming with the same movement. Not only that, but they are part of a new Timeless Olympic collection that features connections to Omega's link as the official time keeper of the Olympic games. Until now, these were all limited editions as far as I know. So let's recap. Cool movement is being used in more watches, and there are going to be at least four Timeless Olympics collection models with Olympic design cues. I am thrilled.

The best model in my opinion is this Omega Timeless Olympic Speedmaster 5-Counter watch. Simple, straight-forward name and a great, clean look (also little text on the dial). Omega takes the look from classic Omega timepieces and combines them with the modern look of the Speedmaster case. It is an interesting combo. You also get the vintage style red Omega logo. The arrow hour hand mixes well with the dagger minute hand and the older style Arabic numerals. The tachymetre bezel completes the Speedmaster character. The rear of the watch likely has some Olympics themed engraving. Size is probably about 42mm wide and the watch will be in steel.

Inside the watch is the Omega Caliber 3888 Co-Axial automatic movement - which is likely Chronometer certified. Functions more or less include a 12 hour chronograph and day-date calendar. A very cool and functional design the perfectly arouses our thoughts of Omega and the Olympics. Only thing they left out was the Olympic rings logo as the counterweight on the chronograph seconds hand - but having it in would have obstructed the dial too much. Price will be 5,380 euros, likely available early next year.

How about a little holiday eyecandy? Check out the work of master inlayer Larry Robinson. Robinson has been cutting inlays since 1975 all without using computer-controlled cutting machines or other duplicating devices.Larry decorates guitars and banjos with beautifully designed shell, metal and wood. He also authored a book, "The Art of Inlay" and has created inlay instructional videos and DVDs.

His beautiful Lindisfarne guitar takes its inspiration from the Lindisfarne Gospels, an illuminated manuscript. The detail here is extraordinary, featuring tiny bits of shells and other materials in minute details with a large design on the back of the guitar and intricate detail along the neck. Robinson works with luthiers and other artists to make one of a kind pieces that are museum quality pieces that are also playable. His pieces take many hours of painstaking work. This piece, started as a side project in 2007, was completed over last summer.

Bovet has been steadily making itself standout as a unique luxury watch maker since earlier this decade when it was purchased by Pascal Raffy in 2000. With a steady stream of about 2000 watches made a year, the exclusive brand is still a nice luxury watch maker. The watches are quite impressive actually, and the company plans to up to production to about 4000 watches a year soon.

The next step for the luxury watch brand is to make its own in-house made movement. This is quite an ambitious feat for a brand with this modest level of production, but they can certainly do it. Although development on the new movement has begun, it will not be released until 2013 - a testament to how long it can take for a movement to by developed, tested, and perfected before production. The movements will likely be very high-end, mostly being hand made and decorated. The included images are not necessarily of the new movement, but display examples of the craft work that Bovet places in its watches. I have a feeling that the upcoming movement will be very impressive and more than just a mere basic movement with "Bovet DNA."

The other day I wrote about the troubles facing diamond billionaire and property investor Lev Leviev. But don't count the Israeli billionaire out yet. His Africa-Israel company has announced new plans for the former New York Times Building on West 43rd Street in New York City. Leviev bought the building in 2007 for the ridiculous price of $525 million and then announced he would be turning it into high-price office building spending $170 million in the process. But then the commercial market dipped and offices were unoccupied.

Now, as the NY Times reports, Leviev's latest plan is to take that 15-story building and turn it into a consumer palace with retail space that includes restaurants, shops, a bowling alley and nightclub. That would be topped by a high-end hotel and crowned by penthouse condos. The NY Times' Charles Bagli questions whether or not this plan will be any more successful than the last one given New York City's lackluster tourism and real estate markets. But Leviev is by nature a gambler and risk taker and selling condos and hotel space is a bit akin to selling diamonds, it's all about the dream and perceived value. And what better place for dreams than Times Square?

The Orcagena is a 60-meter yacht with a 12-meter beam and room for 12 guests and 14 crew. It contains a spa and health center, sun deck Jacuzzi, and an open-air lounge for the owner's cabin. The dining room overlooks the 2-story swimming pool complex, where you'll be protected from that relentless Aegean sun by a retractable sunroof.

All of that, though, is par for the superyacht course. Where the Orcagena takes its stand is in its propulsion system: a hydrogen- and diesel-electric combination that can provide thousands of more Earth-friendly nautical miles. Dual-fuel engines can run on either diesel or liquid hydrogen, that latter fluid being stored in specially designed tanks in the bow. That engine then powers an electric motor that runs the propellers for quieter, more efficient motoring.

Running on hydrogen eliminates the yacht's carbon footprint, and using the hydrogen alone you can get from London to Brindisi at a leisurely pace, or if you're in a hurry to get to that Campari and soda, Monaco to Brindisi. The full complement of hydrogen and diesel will get you from LA to your second home in Cheju, South Korea... and back. The axe bow and hull design based on the shape of the sperm whale go a long way to making that happen.

The Orcagena is only at the design stage now, but it is more proof of the best in luxury and the best in treading softly are headed for an inevitable union.

The Artisan Hotel & Spa in Las Vegas has become the latest to succumb to foreclosure. The modest 64-room property is an off-the-beaten-track favorite with locals and is known for its framed art and hip decor. It does not have a casino and is located at Sahara Avenue and Interstate 15.

The Las Vegas Sun reports that the hotel had filed for Chapter 11 back in December 2008, listing assets of $18.3 million (mostly the value of the hotel real estate) and liabilities of $7.85 million. The main creditor was the Citizens Bank of Oregon, Mo. The hotel struggled to turn a profit and later the bankruptcy case was combined with another bankruptcy case for the co-owner's other Artisan hotel in El Paso. Texas. Earlier this month the IRS asked that the Chapter 11 cases become Chapter 7 cases forcing a liquidation because the company failed to file federal employment tax returns and tax deposits since the bankruptcy cases were filed. A receiver will be appointed to operate the property until the foreclosure sale.

The hotel has many fans but has also had an ongoing problem with service. Reviews on travel website Trip Advisor are very polarized, people either loved this place or had serious issues with the service and room standards.

The Toutorsky Mansion has to be one of the most interesting properties in Washington D.C. It's a brick-and-limestone neo-Belgian mansion built in the 1890s for Supreme Court justice, Henry Billings Brown. Brown occupied the house until he died in 1913. The home later operated as the Persian Legation and then as the headquarters of the American Zionist Organization. After that it was bought by Basil and Maria Toutorsky and operated as the Toutorsky Academy of Music.In 1988 it was donated to the Peabody Conservatory of Music at The John Hopkins University but sold a few years later. Lately the 17,000 square-foot home has served as a bed and breakfast with five guest rooms. The mansion is full of beautiful carved wood griffins, crystal chandeliers, monumental fireplaces and stained glass details. It is now listed for sale for $5.75 million.

The used Rolex watch market is robust and maybe even a bit crowded. Why? Because pre-owned Rolex watches are big business given the fact that Rolex watches have such an incredible ability to retain value. Still, it is sometimes hard to justify buying an older model when new models exist. One good way to breathe life into older, good condition Rolex watches is to modify or customize them. That way you aren't one of legions of people who have the exact same Rolex watch.

Rolex modification is a growing segment in the watch market with retailers offering everything from brand new Rolex watches that have been modified, to performing such modifications on used models. Many of these modifications have been around for years. Often involving the addition of extra gold or precious jewels such as diamonds to the watch. Recently such modifications have taken a less "blingy" route to offering modified Rolex models that have altered colors and materials. Opinions vary as to the desirability of modified Rolex watches - the same way people argue against the modification of luxury cars. Keep the Mercedes Benz stock, or take it to Brabus for a hot horsepower injection?

Of the most popular trends in Rolex watch modding is the "all black look." Never has there been a factory black Rolex watch (to my knowledge). Thus, the market has met (assumed) demand and offering everything from high priced new Rolex watches with all sorts of black colored modifications, to doing the same to pre-owned Rolex watches. The latter being a better value than the highly limited new modified Rolex watches that are tough to get by all (except a host of celebrities who are gobbling up customized Rolex watches fast enough to make you think Rolex is suddenly shifting to making wallpaper). Producers of new stock Rolex watches can charge double or more than retail for the timepieces.

Modified Rolex watches (new or used) are only as good as the work put into them. The process is harder than it seems. So look carefully, and know what you are looking for. The most popular forms of black color treatment are either PVD or DLC coatings (the latter being more modern, but not as well refined in all instances as the much more common PVD treatment) Time and Gems, an outfit located in Los Angeles offers a host of modified or otherwise custom altered Rolex watches. Time and Gems is not an authorized Rolex dealer, but instead specializes in the sale of used Rolex timepieces. They have recently got into the modded Rolex game and offer up a growing selection of DLC (and PVD) black Rolex Submariners, Sea-Dwellers, GMT Masters, Explorers, Milgausses, and more. The image above is of a Time and Gems DLC black Rolex Submariner watch (priced at $6,500). While modified pre-owned Rolex watches cost more than unmodified Rolex watches, they are arguably more interesting, and clearly involve a good deal of work. It's not that you could ever be accused of running with the herd. However, when we're talking about the choices of several million people, and those choices concern several million bottles of wine, well, it couldn't hurt to lend one little ear to the vox populi.

The masses in questions are those ordering bottles from Wine.com, and after having tabulated the scores the site has released its Top 100 list for 8,000 different wines sold in 2009. You might be fatigued from the news that "value is clearly the running theme this year," but your offshore account will be glad of the fact that 75 of this year's wines slide in under $20, and only two exceed $100 even though the average list's average price rose compared to 2008. Your palate will rejoice as well: 93 of the wines are rated higher than 90 points, and the top wine is Cambria Julia's Vineyard 2006 Pinot Noir, with two 90-plus point ratings. That also happens to be Wine Enthusiast's #1 wine of 2009. And yes, it's less than $20.

Feel free to peek, and we won't tell anyone you bought something only because you saw it on a Top 100 list. But if you do, at least you'll have very good company. Lots of it.

If you had the stomach to sit through Terminator Salvation with your eyes open, you'll remember the mototerminators that launched themselves from the legs of the collectors. (Our apologies if this has brought back terrible memories.) Those apocalyptic wheelie poppers were based on Ducatis, but if you fancied the look of them, Italian bike builder CR&S has something pretty close.

Called the DUU Concept, the hand-built naked ride is a combination of "a sporty European rolling chassis powered by a muscular American big-twin." The engine is a 1.9-liter (117 cu. in.) X-Wedge supplied by engine maker S&S. Wrapped around that powerplant is a chassis that CR&S says can be tailored by the customer. They don't specifically indicate the breadth of that customization beyond presenting the choice of single or two-seater versions, but any time you combine "Italian" and "hand-made," the options list usually runs long.

CR&S said it has plans to build them from next year, at €20,000 ($30,000 U.S.) apiece. Once you take delivery, your first mission can be to hunt down McG and, well, you'll know what to do when the time comes...
